moisture problem in trunk

I have a 2006 mazda 6 hatchback with 24000 miles and I have started to notice that the carpet in the hatch area is always damp after it rains. I cannot figure out where this is coming from because nothing is wet on the inside of the trunk lid and I don't see any water under the carpet. Anyone else had this problem?

my guess would be weather stripping or something like that...your still under warranty, let the dealer figure it out.
