Do you think that when a front mount intercooler gets released the battery might have to be relocated? I keep checking in with greddy to see if anything is headed our way and so far nothing.

Seems manufacturers arent interested or they are hushed up on projects for this car.

I think the aftermarket will pass on the CX-7 for the most parts the vendors mostly contacted says not enough interest all talk no purchasing I tend to agree if you look through these post alot of people talk alot of game but do nothing. Look at the J-spec accessory posts everyone I want this and that none one has bought shit from the guys who offer stuff. If you want mods a real tuner car is needed or wait till the second owners get them then there is a chance.

I think companies pay attention to request, if enough folks make inquiries to these companies maybe they will consider. Perhaps a light bulb will be lit hey boss we have been getting alot of calls regarding this vehicle perhaps we should consider making something available to increase sales.

hell at least thats how it works in my line of work and I work in the digital imaging imaging field Duplicators, copiers, scanners, high volume copiers. etc... we listen to our customers and what technology inovations they will like to see that's what drives our business.

Agree, but calls are one thing people buying stuff is another, shit people on here ask if a K&N air filter with void there warranty, alot of penny pinchers own these cars and bitch about everything especially MPG. I want mods but affordable and that will not happen w/o tons of items being sold and I do not see that happening only a hand full of interest the venders should stick to the popular imports where they will make money and the cx7 is not that by a far stretch sti, evo, speed cars, 350z, etc... all corner the markets due to mass production and "manual trans" attrack more tuner related individuals

To some extent you are right and there will never be as many options for this car as there are for the STIs and Evos out there. However, to say that there is no market is a rediculous statement. If I can look online and find tuning parts for a corolla, then I will be able to find them for the CX It is going to take some critical mass of interest before it will happen, but it will happen. Once there are 500K of these on the road, even a 1-2% interest is an awful lot of product. Personally, if I had the cash to start-up, I would start manufacturing parts myself! There is a hole in the market that few companies are filling.

That said, people are working on front mounts for this car. Below is one example that I found in these forums:

Sweet there is not enough Cx-7's out there for any aftermarket manufacturer to make money. I'm outta this conversation

your welcome. The front mount intercooler gets alot better cool air flow to the engine then a top mount intercooler does cause when your driveing the air is directly pushed into the intercooler rather then go through ductwork like with the front mount. the top mount gets alot of heat soak witch comes from the engine wich is bad for you engine. thats the easyest way for me to explain. i dont know that much about engines and turbos i'm just getting into it with help of some great tuners giveing me advise.

I bet the FMIC increases turbo lag a bit which would suck...because of the automatic.(smash)

yes what i felt was a lil more lag then normal but when it got to 3.5 RPM you could feel the diferance in power
