I just contacted Street Unit to see when the release date would be for their Rear Engine Mount and.... (info about the mount first)

Street Unit Performance Billet Aluminum Rear Engine Mount

Street Unit Motor Mounts are completely redesigned from the OEM mounts and engineered to provide the user with maximum benefit without excessively increasing vibration. They are CNC machined out of billet aluminum and the bushings are 62A durometer urethane.

Benefits of Street Unit Engine Mount Replacements:
Eliminate unwanted "wheel hop" that plagues the FWD MS3 and Mazda3
Solid 62A durometer bushings
Recover torque lost in the drivetrain
Minimize drivetrain lash
Bolt-on installation and does not require the motor to be removed or supported

They said it would be the next 2 weeks before it comes out.

I'm thinking of going for their mount instead of AWR because of the less diameter bushing. Opinions?

My opinion is that anything is better than the stock tranny mount. I can see a big difference between the AWR 70A duro and 88A duro, but not that much between 62A and 70A. Maybe the 62A is the best compromise between performance and comfort?

No, this thread can stay. SU can be mentioned, just not promoted.

No reason to wait when we already have them done, just doing some track testing and we should have them ready in 7 days. Teaser pics for all of you to view and take a look in our section here on the forum for price.

You are close, I dont want to give to many details but I can tell you that 80 was to much.

Are we talking big bucks? Does this kill the Manufacturer warranty?

The SU rear engine mount is listing for $99 on pre-order right now. I've seen it and I will be getting one for my MS3. I don't know the diameter of the bushing but it looks a lot better than the stock mount.

It is DUROMETER, not diameter. Durometer is the measure of the hardness of the rubber/urethane while diameter is the width.

You have got to be kidding me right? You are using the same mount with just a different bushing? It looks like a stock mount. NOTHING like pictured here

I would be mad as hell if I preordered this thing looking, at the picture then getting a stock one in the mail. I thought it was supposed to be SU Billet Aluminum Rear Engine Mount: MAZDASPEED 3, Mazda3. Not a fillin for the regular mount.

Anyone pick up one of these yet? I want to find out how much vibration (if any) there is at idle before I order this.

I put mine on this past saturday. When the A/C is on the vibration is noticable. Without it, its hard to tell a big difference. Main difference is the wheel hop in second gear is just about all gone.

Oh yeah, install took no time at all.

I haven't had a chance to install mine yet because of work, but here are some pics of it.

I have had the ********** front and rear mounts in my car for almost 2-3 months now. I absolutely love them. Vibration is not bad at all. Coupled with my exedy street disc clutch and twm short shifter this car feels amazing to drive. Before everything felt really sloppy. The car feels really solid now. Practically 0 wheel hop also. Awesome product.

I'm afraid I'd have to buy two sets. One just to display. Those things are a work of art.
