For Review,
In the mock up stages as soon as it's warm enough I'll start laying the FPR and post more pics. FYI the is on a "for off road use only" 3Gen Pro. :)

Latest work: waiting CF cloth to lay up final mold-less layer, then make some brackets, install some dzus fastener presto CR WB! :) Making the car 17 inches wider so that fenders fit over 16X9 wheels with 245 tires. Also to provides some areodymanics advantage it will will include full under body tray to rear diffuser and all air though front end i.e. radiator, oil cooler channeled out wheel wells no air under car allowed. Turbo remote to rear seat location with its on oil sump for better weight distribution and lower CG and lower heat in front end. Custom fuel cell/surge tank added to PS rear end for better corner balance and to prevent fuel starvation.

Hmm, should be interesting. Is that front lip edge going to be smoothed down? It would look wierd like that.

ALco,
Suppose to get the materials needed to finish the front fenders and bumper this week. I'll be racing a Summit the weekend of the 21st so hopefully I'll by the end of the month I'll have some more pics for ya. Changing things a little bit in the rear and probably going to fab everything out of 20 or 22awg steel. The under body tray was going to be made out of aluminum-ized FRP with a heavy aluminum honeycomb core vacuum bagged and cooked in autoclave but due to budget it will be 1/8 6061 aluminum sheet and the rear diffuser out of 1/8 plastic sheet.

For reference on how wide a 3gen Pro is with 16x9 wheels a 245/255 tires; Here is a picture of the old WB done quick to get the car racing for last year. On the car in the below picture are 16x8 Rotas with 215x16x45 Azenis see the space between the tire and fender? That space will be completely filled with the 16x9 with 16x255x45 Hoosiers in the next picture below. And believe me things are very tight in side the wheel well. With the new wheels back spaced another inch outward I still had to cut the inside of the fender well (uni body) to prevent tire rub to include any existing brackets or flanges in the wells and yes there is no plastic fender skirts in there. I'll still need to space the wheels out another 10-15mm another reason for new WB set up. The old set up covered fenders yes but was very bad aero. For fabing up the new set up I got some CFD (computer aided fluid dynamics) data from other similar sized sedans using the same wheels and tries sizes for use in road racing and TT with speed below 130mph.

Thanks. Man that would be nice but all the extra pennies are allocated for the go fast parts and damn cost of gas especially the 110 race gas at $7 a gallon. :)

Sweet! I can see the headline over in Europe now: New DTM Protege to take on Mercedes, Audi for Championship. That'll be the day. BTW, great job on the constuction of such a bad-ass car. Love the widebody design much more than I did the first WB. Wish you luck for the upcoming season.
