First quote was $100 over invoice, 2nd was at invoice.

Setting a pretty high bar for the remaining nine dealers who haven't responded yet.........

I think I could help you out. I am planning to buy a CX9 sometime this summer, and I have a good relationship with a dealer up north. tell me where you got your invoice quote and I will see if the dealer I know would beat it.

I know someone at a dealership up north that is helping me get a CX9 for invoice. I havent purchase it yet because I am waiting for the right color to come in. IF you give me your name and email address, maybe we can work out a deal that both of us can get our CX9s at below invoice. Knowing some of these dealers in the puget sound, a lot of them have holdbacks from the manufacture. So knowing that you and I are potential CX9 Buyers in the same area, I am sure that this dealer I know could knock off a couple hundred off invoice. What do you say? Its like I referred you, and you reffered me. And dont worry this is not a scam... I just want to make sure we get the best deal possible. Kirland mazda was asking 900 over invoice, could you believe that? But this guy I know told me he was willing to do invoice, no haggling.. When you reply, send me over a description what options you want, TRIM (touring or GT), and color. Lets try to work together in getting a fair price... DEAL?

Thanks..

So is the invoice price a fair price to ask for when purchasing a CX-9? Or could I do better? I'm in So Cal.

A fair price??? I don't know if you could do better. The only way to know is to try.

It only takes 30 minutes of emailing/faxing to dealer Internet Sales Managers.

I wanted a good price (invoice) and got a great price.

Would have driven 150 miles to get one in stock (color/interior that I wanted) at invoice but decided to save $395 after taxes to order one. Didn't really need one immediately.

April manufacturing dates all taken so it will be built in May for early June delivery.

I bought mine for $400 under invoice. This price was good on all models in-stock, dealer trade, or factory order. Check www.dougs.com ask for Omar. Dealer is in WA state.

Mazda El Cajon down in San Diego.

On a side note, it seems like the CX-9 is getting pretty hot now, not sure if your likely to see to many invoice or sub invoice pricing, unless you are very flexible on options/colors.

I just got a quote from a stealership (lol2) for a GT AWD. MSRP is $40,912 and he is willing to let it go for $37,697. That's $662 below invoice. What do you think? Is it a good deal or should I go for more? Also this is for a CX-9 that they have in stock.

????????????????

Manufacturers invoice is about $37,405!!!

Check kbb.com and "Price with Options"

Dealers Invoice might add "Advertising" but I doubt that is the difference between $37,405 and $38,359.

I wouldn't pay that much ($37,697) but I don't have money to throw away........
