Hey all, so just wanted to say "I GOT A FREAKING SPEED6 GT". Beers on me for everyone (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks) (drinks)
Now on to specs, 2006 Speed6 GT, Titanium Gray Metallic, Demo version, 5500 miles, security lock nuts and moonroof/sunroof (your choice), black leather....you all know the rest.
Only mods I have planned are tinted windows and shark fin. Maybe xede piggyback if they make it full plug and play.
Had first driving experience in snow with stock summer tires today. Not a fun drive at all. Planning on going all season high performance once I find something good.
Pics will come as soon as weather clears up and I give it a good washing.
So hi everyone and I'll be seeing you all around.

Congrats! At least you don't have to spend time breaking it in!
Bazooka Joe, you're right. It really moves for its weight, it feels like a much lighter car when you really step on it :)

ended up paying 21k +ttl after 3k trade in, and $170 monthly on insurance. I'm happy, went out for an actual drive today, car felt great but didnt wanna push myself harder then I knew I could go, which I know aint anywhere near as far as the car can go. Cant wait for some nice weather for a good car wash and the first pics of my new baby.
someone is excited?
lol, congrats

Congrats. I found a great replacement high performance all season. Pirelli Nero M + S. They are quieter then stock tires, way better in rain, and actually handle almost as well. Best $500 I ever spend on a set of tire replacements. Best of all, they won't be bald after 15k miles like the stockers. These babies will go for $40k+ miles.
Definitely a good idea to wait for Plug & Play when it comes to ECU mods. That's my plan as well. Just see what else comes out, and watch it improve. No rush on making this car fast right away for me. It will get better, safer, easier to install and use, and in a short amount of time. Also more options, better tuning and less risk. Enjoy, and be safe. :)

Only 15K on the stockers? I sure hope I get more life out of mine. I'll be picking up some snows next winter because the stockers were meant to put numbers on the board, not keep your nose out of snow banks.

ended up paying 21k +ttl after 3k trade in That is about the going price. I paid about 19,9K +ttl on mine after 4,700 trade in. It was also a demo but with 1500 miles on it and rock blocker.
Drive carefully though. I've only had my car 3 weeks and I already got rear-ended :( I guess my time was up. Haven't been in an accident in 5+ years, still never had an accident that was my fault.

I'm paying about $1600/yr but that is with me as the primary on the speed6 and my wife as the primary on the Protege5...total combined. That would be about $133/mo for two drivers but my payment schedule is weird. There is a big payment at the beginning of the cycle and then it is paid off after like 9 months before I have another big payment.

Winter was coming, so I did the Pirelli PZero as well (M&S) and have to agree, they are AWESOME tires, despite the lower ratings on Tire Rack as far as snow goes. I had not one problem this winter.
I replaced the stock tires at 8000 miles and they were pretty much shot. I probably could've "safely" gotten 3000-4000 more miles out of them at the most. Definitely not a "long life" tire. And I don't push the car too hard. Hopefully I'll get more out of the Pirellis.
And CONGRATS on the car!!! I've had mine for over a year now and EVERY FREAKIN DAY I get in the car, I love it more and more.

I got 10K out of the stock Potenza's. That was with 8 Auto-X events on them. They were completley gone. The day I went to get my Pirelli's it rained and that was an adventure with the bald Potenza's. I put 7K on the Pirelli's this past winter and just swapped them out for my new Azenis yesterday, and the Pirelli's looked almost brand new still.

I second that. I'm paying about $400/6 months. I also haven't had a moving violation in over 15 years. That certainly helps.

Those 15 years of no tickets are going to come to an end because of the Speed6! :)

I'm only paying $125 a month but that's for a single guy with the "06 Speed 6 and a 4x4 Nissan King Cab and renters insurance.
I do have one moving violation however from last spring when I got busted in a BMW 330 i down on Sullivans Island S.C. when the speed dropped 20 mph. and an unmarked Impala pulled out of a housing development and got me.
Tried fighting it and could only get it down to 2 pts. and $76, I didn't care about the money, it was the points that sucked, but the lawyer said South Carolina does not let people off completely unless the cop just doesn't show or something is wrong with the ticket. I tried at least.(yupnope)

I was telling my wife that not only would we have to budget not only for the car payments but possibly for tickets and insurance increases. However, I try to make sure I'm not the fastest car out there...It's not going to be easy. The phrase I use when telling people about the car is "stupid fast".

lucky you guys. I'm stuck with a $200 monthly insurance tag. And to make matters worse I got a $200 speeding ticket 82 on a 55 zone and 5 points on the license. First speeding ticket, very stupid, was putting away laptop and didnt pay attention to the speed. After I'm done I look up and notice i was way up so I start slowing down, but guess who's behind me, freaking cops, I let go of the gas and coast to the middle lane and dude follows and puts lights on after another 30 seconds.
