I think that car has a 6 cylinder base, and an optional 8 cylinder engine. Although even the 8 cyl is not that quick, I think it has 290hp in a relatively heavy car (of course the MS3 is a relatively heavy car as well).

Watch out the S Type R though, it is supercharged and has 390 hp, will do 0-60 in just over 5 secs.

If I'm not mistaken the Jag type S has the same duratec 3.0 found in the Mazda 6 plus it's pretty heavy like already mentioned so it's no surprise you smoked him easily. They're not slowches though, but no match for an ms3 stock for stock.

That's not the point, the point is, is that it was a Jag. Its the same feeling when I beat a 3 series BM, I know my car is faster, but who cares? People who drive luxury cars think they own the road...

Amazing how people assume. The jag looked like it was hooked up, and to top it off he was the one instigating me... I was just driving Miss Daisy to my parents house. So pretty much, he stuck his foot up his ass and through his mouth b/c everybody on the Bird Road saw him get beat by a car that cost only half of what his did.

About 3-4 weeks ago (before my MS CAI), a WRX STI noticed me on my commute home. He was about 3 cars behind me, swerving left and right to see what I was. He pulled left into the carpool lane and punched it, so I did the same. He remained a constant about 150 feet behind me and didn't close on me. I was in 3rd gear and ended in 4th. I know he was WOT because I could see his front end drop and raise again as he shifted and from the look he gave me when i slowed down to see his reation. After he pulled up next to me, he punched it again like a bat out of hell and probably hit 125 getting his embarrassed self out of there. It was a Black WRX STI w/modified exhaust. We were in Kent Washington on 167 south. I hope he reads this cause I want to hear his explaination. One thing I have noticed is that in 3rd gear and up, the MS3 has a very good acceleration. The acceleration curve from 60-75 MPH is steeper than the EVO and STI, and the other contenders like the VW GTI, Civic SI, and Eclipse.

By the way, were weren't technically racing since we were in the same lane and he was far behind me. Also, not too long after shifting into 4th, I let off and slowed down.

mustve been the rims. I remember pulling crazy on a 350z with aftermarket wheels and exhaust. Probably the rims or/and the year the Z was made...i think the 03 were the slowest. It was also convertible, which means its heavier than the coupe.

I raced another Z with unknown mods (he claimed only intake but wouldnt pop the hood) and i got my ass handed by 2-3 cars. Of coarse....all of these from a roll...he was to scared to do it from a dig ;)

I like to hear about kills with our new car.I wish we had a section for it like some other forums becuase its fun to read.As for our car most people on the road dont know what to make of it yet.They all assume its just a regular 3 or just dont know what it is at all.I debadged mine so it just makes it more confusing and I like the clean look.
