Huge debt from gradschool and a baby on the wheel = selling aftermarket stuff.
The last thing this kit did was pound out a 12.0s quarter mile, 400+ hp, and a snapped axle at 18psi. The coated turbo functions well; I blew into the exhaust inlet and the turbines spun very well--I didn't expect it to be so smoothe. There doesn't seem to be any more shaft play than new. The turbo kit was used for about 4000 miles, more than half highway miles from AZ to UT and the other tuning and a little track time.
The ugly:
The whole kit is dirty because I haven't done anything to the car this winter except start it up on weekends. I don't have time to clean it up for you, perhaps price will reflect that.
The wastegate is a used Turbonetics--scratched but works well.
The blowoff valve is a Tial. It's dirty but will clean up very nice.
The intercooler is huge and you will need to trim some sheet metal off the bumper (only took a few minutes to do it and doesn't cut into the meat of the bumper), very good condition with only a few slight fin bends from bugs.
The cold pipes are filthy and have paint scratches where it rubbed the car (you're supposed to put silicone on the frame edges, I failed to do that). The smallest pipe (s-shape) pipe has a dent in it (not a bend) from loading the car onto a trailer. I never liked that pipe anyway; it's the driver's side end that couples the intercooler and should be .5" longer for a nicer fit. I will leave the GM air sensor attached with pigtail.
The manifold has a few spots where the ceramic coating is flaking. I needed to get ARP stainless headstuds to bolt it on, those will be included.
The 3" downpipe uses a v-band, is ceramic-coated, and has a nice area in the back where oil dripped on it from a loose oil line and cooked (will need steel wool). I am parting all the pieces out. Everything can be bought separate except for the cold pipes, they all go together.
Coated Turbo with v-band exhaust outlet (cost me additional $150): sold
Pipes and intercooler: SOLD! (Nice Tial valve available for $100)
MAM tubular manifold with T3 flange: sold

If you part the kit out, I would be interested in the Turbo !!

I will part out the kit if everything can be spoken for at reasonable prices. I know that yashart wants the manifold and crazycaker wants my downpipe.

This part of the bumper needs to be cut. It is not noticeable and on the bright side, your huge IC will take its place... :)

It can be done with a handheld reciprocating saw.
BTW, I just took off my 626 manifold, get ready for it too!

What would this kit be like on stock internals.....a ticking time bomb? Can you run this kit at 7 psi or is that pointless?

You can but you'd be better off with a smaller turbo that spools faster. Or you can buy my car that already has a built engine/tranny. :)

If Focus dont take the turbo, Im in!
The downside on my deal is I can only do it in 2 payments

The GM solenoid is a PWM solenoid that can be controlled by standalone computers like the AEM that I had. It's cheap, like under $50 for solenoid and pigtail

can i use this IC setup and the tail valve with my stock maf and turbo
ddogg777
03-17-2007, 01:03 AM
The turbo outlet pipe will have to be changed for the mazdaspeeds and then you would have to cut one of the pipes and put the maf inline with it. This setup was meant for speed density.

Tubular manifold is sold!
@prose92, I don't have an MSP. I have been told that the only difference between MAM's msp kit is the single pipe coming off of the turbo.

Thanks ddogg777 I some what received my ic setup today by that I mean that UPS are a bunch of freaking retards who can verify a address properly. This makes the 8th package in a row literally from them that they can't even delver the crap to the right house. Fedex, DHL, and USPS can get my house right! I’ll go pick it up from my neighbor’s house tomorrow morning and give a update on the tread. Luckily for me my neighbor is 70 some odd years old and has no idea what he received in the mail.
