View Full Version : Severe Vibration/Shakes
First post
I have a 02' protoge 2.0 engine and when I hit 110 KM (55 Miles) the car start to shakes and gets pretty bad as i go faster. At 125 (70 Miles) is shakes like crazy but if I accelerate further the shaking deminishes to nothing.
Any ideas what could be causing this?

Have your wheels/tires balanced. That should fix it.
Welcome aboard!
Had that done a few months ago...

Could be a bent wheel.
Also check your tire pressures.

This has happened to me b4, it was during a snow storm. I'm not sure but I think it could be the weather. I just drove my car for a while, and it went away.

I had the same thing happen to me when I had an obscene amount of ice/snow built up in the wheel well. I actually had to use a crow bar to knock it off. If it's all clear conditions and you've had your wheels balanced/rotated, something else might be bent, have you driven over/into any large chuck/potholes recently?

The same happen to me...I had 3 bent rims!!! The factory rims on the ES are extremely light (and easy to bend).
