Hello,
I've just installed a bosal catback system, and I am very dissatisfiedl; it is obnxiously loud. Any1 knows of a good silencer, or a quiet universal muffler that I can put in place of the one I currently have. I want a muffler that is noticably loud, but I want to be able to hear the surge from my intake.

Sounds like corksport is pretty good.

I just got a dynomax universal muffler installed (center/offset) its barely louder than stock, yet when you open it up it gets quite a bit louder, and you can hear the intake suck in air too! I had a canister muffler on their before, and it was way too loud.

Are you running a header, and a high-flow cat or a test pipe??? These greatly increase the Bosal exhaust sound.......

With my old setup I ran the stock cat to axle portion for a while, it has a resonator in it and that really helped with the overall loudness, especially when idling and cruising....I would try that out, and if you like it, get a couple resonators welded into the exhaust system. The bosal doesn't come with one in it already, which is kinda odd in the first place and makes for a very raspy loud tone.

Search first. There is an overwhelming amount of opinion on this subject. Racing Beat is the quiet exhaust upgrade.
