mine have the same smoke problem, I took it to the dealer and they said its the gasket from the turbo, so they replace the gasket & turbo, have to wait 2 days for the turbo to get in..after it was taken care of, no more smoke, my black mica ms3 runs great, they also fix the air condition problem, now it gets cooler quicker...don't know if that helps...
So was your car smoking constantly or just every once in a while?

Mine to has these problems, but... the black on the pipe end is kind of a good thing if ya want to up the boost (A).
If after owning a MSP you people have not learned about Mazda/all Manufacturers. I really don't what to tell ya. There not here/there to sell you a good product. They just want to feed the pigons alittle to make them happy till the (as in our case) fucked up 3yr/36000 warranty runs out and and the dealer prays you keep being it back to them.
Cause they are the only Authorized repair shop for that product.
Hell even one of the authorized MazdaSpeed mechanic's @ my dealership sold his mazdaspeed and got his self an Evo.
Sad but TRUE

There is a recall concerning:
Obd-ii Compliance Voluntary Emission Recal
Q: Why are some of this type of vehicle involved, and others are not?
A: Recalls are vehicle specific and are issued for certain vehicles based on the production date and component. If your vehicle is not affected, it may be because it was built at a different time or using a different part than the affected vehicles.
Q: Why can't I submit the reimbursement form electronically?
A: Your reimbursement form must be submitted via US Mail, because a signature is required on the form.
Q: Are all recalls listed on this site?
A: Please be aware that there are regional and state-by-state campaigns that are not VIN-specific and may not be shown on My Mazda. If you have recently moved, please check with your Mazda dealer to see if there are special campaigns in your area.
