My wife has a AWD Cx-7 and just reached 10K miles. The tires were rotated at 3500 miles at dealer with first oil change. No harsh driving, But the Tires are shot!! The centers are bald..Going to dealer next week for 10K mile service...What should I do?

if its just the centers the tires were over inflated.

someone had too much air in them.........if there was not enough, they would be worn on the outside.

Yep, gotta check tire pressure. Don't think the dealer is going to help you on this one. They might...but since the tire wear was due to over inflation they probably won't even try to get the warranty to cover it. Even if you never touched the tires and can convince them of it...it will still be a hard sell.

I had mine rotated at 9800 miles. They're not bald, but they're noticeably worn, and I'm anal about tire pressure (among other things). I'm thinking that come Fall '07, I'm in the market for new tires, even though the Miata will be my PST (Primary Summer Transport).

Don't even bother...dealer won't do anything, they'll tell you the tires have a seperate warranty and no tire company is going to reimburse for over inflation. Chalk it up to one of life's errors in judgement and be sure to check the pressures in your next set. I check both mine and my wifes monthly.

Tire Pressure was NOT an Issue. Tires were Properly rotated and Pressure was Checked Weekly. Car is at the dealer now and they also admit that at 10k even if Pressure was off and I drove like a fool they should not be worn that bad. They are looking into an allignment issue right now and then its on to fight Bridgstone over the tires.... I have heard that these tires are notoriously bad.. (EL42's) we'll see what happens..

if it were alingment it would show signs of cupping or feathering and most likly it would be only one out of the front or rear. And if you rotated and checked your tire presure weekly I can tell that you full of BS. They are called stealerships for a reason.

I have the Goodyear RSA's on my car and at 10k miles my fronts were worn almost bald in the center also. Tire pressure was ok. This is sounding like an alignment issue to me also. Keep us posted on what is gonna be done. My dealer said my alignment was "within specs". and to check with a goodyear dealer on getting them replaced.......
