Diesel turbo transmission

Does anyone know if the transmisson from a diesel turbo protege will bolt directly to ours? I know they are the same tranny code but are the housings different due to the different engines. The gear ratios would make freeway driving much more enjoyable. 80 mph=2600 rpms in 5th versus 3500 rpms (with 215/40/17 tires).
