When I purchased my 03 MazdaSpeed it had aftermarket exhaust and I have since upgraded the exhaust and have a high-flow cat. I never had a sensor that goes into the cat(assuming there was once one, there is a hole that i have since plugged with a bolt?) Does anybody know about how much one of these are and if it is indeed an o2 sensor I am missing.
I have always had an engine light on, but desperatly need to pass my emissons testing in WI.
Thanks alot.

You are missing an o2 sensor. Dont know how much that is going to cost you to buy but it will only take about 10 minutes to put on. The plug for it is back behind the intake manifold.

What I'm curious about is where did the connector go for the O2?

Do you have any complaints about the universal ones?? The price difference is huge.

The universal ones are the same quality, the same exact sensors actually.. they just don't have an OEM plug, you'll have to wire up 4 wires. I got mine from oxygensensors.com (I think that is the site address anyway), bought it with the oxygen sensor socket shipped for I think under 70.
