Ok so I was driving my car all day yesterday with no problems. All of a sudden I had my car just sitting there idling at a complete stop and boom there it was. CEL. I had it ran it was lean in bank 1. What could possibly cause this? I know it is probably a whole lot of things but any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Also I recently put some lucas fuel treatment stuff in my car. I put it in witha full tank and now am down to about a 1/4 tank. I am pretty sure I put a little more than called for also. Would this cause the problem?

you're probably looking at the MAF sensor.

o_O I got a CEL while just idling that went away the next day.. I hope when I get my car back it's gone. I know people talked about the possibility of the MAF self-destructing at a faster rate while relocated, but no one had actually had it die on them due to the relocation. I'll definitely run and get the code pulled if it happens again.

I have been ruuning it relocated for a few months. Should I buy a \new one in case? I would really like to get a better(almost upgraded) one that would work better for the way I am ussing it. A blow-by type MAF. Anyone know of a place that sells them? If I do a search to find them what would I need for it to work? The right diameter, certain voltage, and ect. Thanks guys for the quick responses.

It could be your down stream O2 sensor

Well............... I had it cleared. Went and filled up. Full tank of gas. Driven almost 250 miles now. Nothing yet. How long would it take normally for it to pop back on? I think it was something to do with the Lucas fuel treatment. Not sure.

mine came back on after a week, so I am going to try the non-fowler method.

I had the same CEL when my wastegate actuator failed.

Well now that you mention it. I have been keeping my eye on that cuz I have also been having some mild idling issues. I did the old blow in the wastgate line trick. Seemed to have good pressure. But the other day I changed my sparkplugs(They NEEDED it bad). I know that should make my car run alot better. But I seem to be boosting about 9-10 psi everyonce in while. I am at stock boost. It was about 6-7 psi normally. I am gonna replace my wastegate actuator here very soon. When I get the funds$$$$$. ATP for the win!!!!(dance)
