Made a new thread since this doesn't really fit the "Spotted - 2008 Mazda 6!" thread (that was a powertrain test mule, this is the real thing).

Considering the debut is still 6 months away, this is a pretty good teaser despite the heavy camo.

Hmm I don't know if I like the license plate being moved to the bumper. I think the tail lights are going to look very similar to the CX-9's.

I'm curious if they introduce a new non hybrid I4 engine since the new 6 will be heavier.

Base model will have a new 2.5L 4cyl. with a little more power than the 2.3L to compensate for the extra weight.

I am very sad to see it grown in length, width and weight. I hope they maintain the wagon and five door versions as I would be interested in a one of those as long as it is offered with a five or six speed manual. I fear they'll only bring autos to the US market.

MS6 in 2009? that's a bit heavy we'll see. So I guess the three will get a new model in 2009. Leaving the rx8 as the oldest car, though in theory it could last a while like the s2000.

Benchmarking it against the altima I see.

I really hope it's not huge and horrifically ugly, they keep it so well camouflaged that it's hard to know what is going on!

I'm very curious to see what turning radius will be for new 6.
Hopefully Mazda will consider comments from 6 owners.
