What's The Best Turbo Solution?

Yo what the deal y'all?

I need to get a turbo for my '01 2.0 ES, and seeing as how this forum seems to be an infinite wealth of knowledge, i figured what better way to find out than from you guys.

The most painful realization of having to upgrade to a turbo is that i will have wasted money on all this other crap! But help a brother out anyway.

Well if you want a kit, the HiBoost is the best, and also the only kit for our cars right now. I could probably get banned if I tell you their web site because they aren't an authorized vendor on here anymore, but you can buy the kit through www.protegegarage.com. It's like $4k with everything you need (aside from gauges and stuff).

Or you can assemble a kit yourself, a lot of people do it with the Mazdaspeed Protege manifold and turbo. I went this route myself, here's my two threads:
