Ok, I just finished install a boost gauge in my car. After I had finished when I turned my car on and went for a drive the brake light never went off. The fluid is full. I have a feeling I fucked something up under the dash with my big hands. Anyone know what I might have done, or some steps to diagnose why its coming on?

where did you tap your boost gauge into?

Small 3/16inch source on top of the manifold. I didn't touch the brake booster line if thats what you're getting to.

Theres 3 possibilites I can think of. First, I think when I was pushing through the grommet I may have pushed into the wires that run to the brake fluid res. Another, I disco'd a harness under the dash with the battery connected, and reconnected the harness, battery still connected. Third, I ran my hand all up under the dash when I was trying to push the dim switch out, I could have disco'd something then.

I have a multimeter, so if anyone knows of any test points to look at, let me know. I plan on checking out the parking brake harness to see if theres any voltage.

Update: warning light turns off after I drive around for about 10 minutes and pop the e-brake handle up and down once. I tried popping the e brake handle over and over before the 10 minutes and it didn't have any effect. I also restarted the car after the light turned off and the light was back on solid and stayed solid once again until I waited around 10 minutes and popped the e brake.

I didn't ground the bulb on the gauge (its mechanical) could this possibly be causing some anomaly thats tripping something in the pcm?
