Hi, i've just become a new member, and i'm looking for information. I'm about to purchase a 2001 mazda protege es, because my 94 dx died a few months ago... I want to know if it possible to simply switch the es bumper for a bumper off a protege 5? Thanks alot.

Yes it is possible. Many members have done it before on here. Do a quick search and you will find many threads dedicated to this subject.
Welcome to the club by the way!!!

It is possible, Many of us have done it. You will have to change the front bumper support, bumper (obviously) driver and passenger side plastic fender wells and get a new grill as well. I will find the part numbers for you and post them here.

Part numbers and prices: If you do the conversion (or anybody does one) take alot of pictures and do a step by step "how to" write up. Or just e-mail me the pics and i will do the write up.
