I've searched for a better way to set up a BOV of your choice that blows in atmosphere without worry about stalling or relocating the MAF. The only thing is that I've never seen/heard any MSP owners to have this HKS EIDS (Electronic Idling Stabilizer) :
"The HKS EIDS has been developed to buffer dramatic airflow meter signal fluctuations. By buffering these fluctuations the EIDS prevents engine stalling or stumbling associated with sudden imbalances in air/fuel ratio of airflow meter-equipped vehicles that utilize atmosphere venting blow-off valves."
It's about 125-135 $$

Anyone that has used this EIDS ?? Can elaborate on it ....... ??

If no one is aware of this HKS product than you can go and check it out yourself. Write back and give feedback.

This is universal so you need ti figure out how to put it to work(theres no kit for any car).

I would rather just use a dual ported bov

Or you can run the stock BPV also, to eliminate stalling and still vent to atmosphere.

by "buffering it" your going to be making it lazy, this would cause it do not ad fuel as fast as it should when you start to boost, and keep adding fuel longer then it should when you,let off.

possibly getting a MIL for MAF signal (high/low) OR A/F out.

Why not just relocate the maf? It's so easy.. I don't see what's so bad about the BPV setup anyway really.. the only reason I run a BOV is because that's what I bought, I didn't have factory stuff already on the car.

Like I've mention before I haven't tried this product yet.
A friend of mine that has EVOVIII told me about this cuz i asked him about BOV+stalling issues that come with it. He used this HKS EIDS to avoiding stalling bc w/o it he would stall.
I'm getting one when i reach 15+ psi but not too soon so if any one of you wanna go for it leave a feedback.
As far as relocating the MAF or Dual BOV/BPV goes against this HKS item you guys be the judge of it yourself.

ok,if your going to run 15 PSI,then your either going to be running a EMS with a MAP,or a piggyback.if you running with a MAP,proplem solved.

if your running a piggyback, should just relocate the MAF,you better already have a FMIC anyway if your going to go that high.

as I stated earlier, the EIDS is not a good way to go,it's like running a piggyback, your tricking sensors to do what you want, not neccasarily whats best for longevity,or the performance of the car,but somewhat of a bandaid,or a cheap way out.

do it right the first time,or do it twice.

So whats the best setup to avoid stalling issues? Relocating MAF or dual bpv setup?

Relocating the MAF will let you vent to atmosphere. You choose.

While I had the MAF relocated with the atmospheric BOV, the car ran perfect. No stalling whatsoever, quicker response, etc.
I would recomment this
