Hey folks,
I just got a set of Kartboy exhaust hangers. There are four pieces: two are marked "10mm" and two are not marked but the holes are about 12mm.
Which ones are for the rear section and which are for the downpipe? Thanks a lot for your input, it'll save me some time.

Nevermind, I got it. 12mm for the rear section, 10mm for the downpipe.
BTW, Kartboy hangers - highly recommended!!

they keep the exhaust where it supposed to be. aftermarket exhaust/axlebacks tend to be heavier. so you need stffer exhuast hangers that wont stretch nearly as fast as regular ones.
ill most likely be getting a set when i put my borla on.
BTW, does anyone know how the borla cat back sounds for our cars. i got it, but havent installed it yet.

As mhrebin mentioned, the Kartboy hangers keep the exhaust from swinging around and bumping into stuff. I drove around for 2 weeks after getting my GReddy SP2, and it drove me mad. After installing the hangers, the exhaust stays put, there are no more banging or clanging noises, and noticeably less vibration.
I didn't even know Borla made a cat-back for the MSP. What's the piping diameter? Does it have any resonators?

Really, no noises/vibrations with the SP2 and Kartboy's? I had the same setup and the piping would rattle and vibrate off the heat shield to the point of giving me a headache right at 3200 rpm's and on. Needless to say I had to remove the rear two and put the stockers back on.

Hmmm, not sure what to tell you about your experience. Do you think maybe your heat shield is loose? Since putting my Kartboy hangers on this past Monday, the car feels wonderful with no rattles, banging, or vibration.

I have them and they didnt make a very big difference for me. I have the GHL tb system and it rattles on my rear control arm a little bit. Annoying as hell. I adjusted the clamps (slip fit exhaust) as much as possible to no aveil. Still rattles. I may be taking it to an exhaust shopp and have it all re hang with a ste of hangers in the middle. On a positive note. I would still get the kartboy hangers thought. My 3" exhaust is alot heavier and the stock hangers sagged like a bitch.

mine is rattling the hell out of my car above the rear crossmember where the pipe goes over. think i am gonna go back to stock for the rear ones, or at least the rear one closest to the front of the car in hopes to lower the pipe enough that it doesnt rattle when hot. but how did you get yours off....

Same here, I had Kartboys with my GReddy SP2 and it rattled all over the place. I only used the rears and my car sounded like a rust bucket sitting at a traffic light with all the sounds so I went back to stock hangers and no problems at all.

when i had to get an exhaust clamp. i measured the inner diameter of one of the sections and i believe it was 2 inches. slightly larger than stock, no drone on the highway. it barely makes any noise, but you can really feel how it smooths out the motor and exhaust flow. i might switch back to stock because i had to cut it in the rear section cause the clamp wouldnt come off. so altogether, the exhaust sticks out a tiny bit due to a connector pipe and clamps to connect it back. prolly like 1 inch past the bumper. it looks good IMO.

well i adjusted mine as best i could, i only have one thing left to try before i replace the rear muffler hanger w/ the stock one. i have about 3-3.5 mm of clearance of the pipe and the chassis body above the crossmember. how much does it expand when hot? i'm hoping this will be enough :( anyone know about how much the pipe expands?

Just go open downpipe or side exit and you wont have the rattling problem, lol..

i currently have an Apex catted midpipe and GReddy SP2 catback with the stock hangers, and i rattle badly.
right after the install, there was a bad sound from near the heatshield. we went in, uninstalled the exhaust and just bent the heatshield so that it wasn't touching the resonator section.
once that was gone, there remains a really bad rattle in the rear near the muffler section.
i have kartboys sitting at my house waiting to install, so we'll see what happens.
