do the P5 tranny have the same ratios as an MSP tranny?

i bet they bolt right on to a msp right?

im aware id lose traction but atleast it would be more reliable.

yes its the same ratios. Its entirely the same transmission except the differential. I don't know why you would want to swap though.... It would be easier to weld up your diff, or even put in an open diff (i wouldn't want to do that though....). Neither one is a particularly strong tranny.

no no, mine is ok for now.. i'm just looking at options if it ever lets go when the warranty runs out.


my first option would be to buy an welded diff and have it installed.
my back up option would be a protege tranny. it's dirt cheap and i dont do autocross with the car nor 1/4 mile. so the LSD is almost useless to me.

I have an lsd in my car and i don't have torque steer? I feel a very very slight pull to the left, but not like it was when it was stock.

and leaving one stripe if you ever slip the tires (accidentally or on purpose) always feels stupid, haha.

The LSD really helps the feel of the car in the corners, i notice it not just at auto-x, but sometimes when i'm just having fun in a corner too.

Yeah it really does suck to look out one window and see smoke rolling and look out the other window and it's clear as day.
