I just installed a AEM cai in my msp. I am only having stalling problem when i rip through say 1st and 2nd gear and coast with it not in gear. The rpms drop to about 100 or it stalls. Sometimes it goes to 0 and catchs itself and then it hovers around 700. I checked all of the vacuum hoses and made sure everything was ran right. Please Help.

What other modds do you have? I can't see a reason for it to stall other than a leak somewhere.

probably either something not hooked up right, or a hose thats torn/cracked, or your wastegate actuator is bad. You can check your wastegate actuator by lightly blowing into the vac line that goes to it. If it lets air out its gone bad (of course, theres a chance it could be just the vac line, so if you have that problem double check to make sure it still does that even with a good piece of vac line running to it.)

Do you have the maf pointed in the right direction, all couplers tight?

The CAI is the only thing I have done so far. This afternoon I am gonna check over everything. If it is the wastegate actuator how much is it to replace? I am out of warranty. Is it good to replace all of the vacuum lines going to the bpv and from the wastegate actuator.

it's always good to replace those rubber lines, they heat and and break apart

Will outside temp. make a difference. Concidering it is about 5 degrees outside. Because it does the stalling and it also hesistates.

lol third post lol and when you do the wga ( if its bad) dont take the turbo off i did mine in like 30 min and now i could do it in 15 but just get under the car take the intake going to the turbo off then the heat shield on top, and remove the C clip on the arm of the wga thats a pain to put back on but anyways it will come out if you get it just right i had to bend me stock one to get it out but the atp went right in.

I had this issue (stalling) and it turned out to be a bad BPV (previous owner tried his own method of "fixing" it).

I would double check the vac lines going to the WGA and the BPV, problems could be either. Also double check and make sure the BPV is correctly clamped and the nipple on the hot pipe isnt broke (as suggested).

the WGA that you are looking for is the 6lbs one...

this should be it:
ATP-WGT-011B

Im almost positive thats the correct part/part #
