so i was driving home yesterday and 2 civics pulled up next to me in the turning lane, kind of riced out and with exhaust, and the light turned green and they both went and you could hear both exhaust and they were different exhaust notes and it sounded pretty sick. so i was wondering if you could get a dual exhaust set up for a protege or any car and just have 2 different mufflers and so you can have 2 different exhaust notes and make it sound even better. is that possible?

i dont know about that. i have seen a protege with dual exhaust, and it did look really good. But 2 different mufflers???...I mean you could, it's just a matter of welding each one up to the corresponding pipe, but why?

idk it sounded kind of cool
you just have to have the right combination, so they make different sounds that sound good together, yeah but maybe it wouldnt work because when i heard it, it was just 2 different cars so idk

was it just a dual exhaust tip or two pipes on either side?

idk
it just sounded cool when the two cars with different exhaust drove off, its kind of like i guess ummmmm a band or something, it sounds good with a guitarist but then you can get like a bassist and drummer and then it would sound better, idk maybe a bad analogy, but anyway, i dont really know exhaust stuffs but the muffler is what gives the sound right?

Good grief, we are moving to a new plateu of rice! A rice evolution: Ultra rice. I literally fell of my seat and started laughing when I read 2 mufflers. Good grief man, don't do it!

"Yes, I'll take the muffler w/ the 5 inch tip for the right side and the pea shooter for the left side"

someone with tons of time should try it,
does anyone have clips of 2 different exhaust notes and maybe we can combine them and then see how it sounds

no. its not going to work. that would sound absolutely terrible and the first person to try it should be shot on the spot...

Why stop with two? You could make a sort of pipe organ under your car, with valves that would choose which tube was active. If tuned appropriately one could play songs on it. Next attach a computer to run the valves. And presto, your car can serenade you and other nearby vehicles with Bach's "Toccata in D minor" while it drives along the freeway!
