Got MagnaFlow on your MSP?

Hey I did a search for a sound clip of the MagnaFlow catbacks on an MSP and even just a MagnaFlow muffler, but every link I found to a clip is broken. Does any one here have or know where I can find a sound clip of MagnaFlow exhaust on a MSP? Thanks. I am curious as to how mine will sound when the turbo gets on.

Too small diameter to run on this car if you plan on modding it and raising the boost.

There should be a few people here with the catback, but they probably don't post here anymore. There's a kid here with a catless midpipe & magnaflow catback on a MSP. It sounds ok.

why are you lookin for an msp catback if you have a p5? Its not gonna fit unless you cut and reweld it.

i had one. was pretty good. sounded deep but not too deep. i had 3" piping up until the s-pipe, which was the stock 2.25 or whatever, but it was ported. it was really loud with 1 hiflow cat and a resonator. i would recommend adding another resonator or going with a 2.5" mid pipe instead

I had a side exit one with catless midpipe. Now I've got the muffler from that and another Magnaflow to keep the sound down. Well, check it out I guess....

Also, if you just get a universal muffler it will sound different than a full catback system with a different resonator.

In my sig. . .mind you I'm a MP3 and this was originally a Spool turbo kit when I did the clip, but man the Magnaflow and Greddy Type S are just beyond words!

Nice! Any pictures of it from underneath? What size piping? Does it drone on the highway? :D Sorry for the barrage of questions, but I'm tempted to have something like that done up.

The pipng is 2.5" from the j-pipe back. I'll get some pictures sometime in the next couple days.

you'll like it i think...I have a cs j-pipe to a MAM catless midpipe...to the magnaflow and i really couldnt be more happy with it. It sounds great and looks classy (no trash can hanging off the back end of the car). What JDM sam said is true though if you are seriously modding the car with increased boost you should go to a 3inch diameter exhaust. I never plan on going higher than like 10-12psi and i wont be breaking 300 hp so the setup i have is fine for that. (i think magnaflow rates that catback as being good for 250-300 hp...i forget but basically you have to know what your ultimate goal for the car is and build toward it)

Oh yeah and sorry i dont have a sound clip, i wish i could let you hear how nice it sounds...btw it sounded 100xs better once the Midpipe went on. A lot louder, but i do kind of miss the original cat-back sound the magnaflow had low tone and no rice, just a real classy exhaust.

well my setup will be the magnaflow catback made for the p5 and the protegegarage catless midpipe and the turbo. I hope it sounds good. I in no way plan on getting anywhere near or over 200 hp quite yet. so I am not worried about the 2.5".

That sounds just like my setup right now except it has balls.
I was hoping it would get some balls around 3k. Thanks very much.

I guess that's because I got a pretty long resonator? Oh well....
