Hey guys,
I am building up my '00 Protege ES for autocross-I have a thread goin in the motorsports section but hoping to get some help here. I seem to have come into a bit of a delimna with the flywheel. I want a lightweight flywheel, but the aftermarket products out there are a little misleading. I bought the Fidenza Flywheel (which the fitment read- 3rd gen protege), however it doesn't match up to the stock 1.8L pressure plate- it seems to be sized for the 2.0L pressure plate. However, it does bolt up to the engine perfectly.
Has anyone tried a 2.0L Pressure plate/flywheel combo on the 1.8L with the F-Type tranny? Or does anyone know of a lightweight flywheel that is designed to work with the 1.8L engine and pressure plate?
Thanks!
