filter restore kit?

Alrighty, I'm getting the CAI in the next couple weeks, just need another $100.00

What is the filter restore kit? I know I've asked before but I'm 100% noob when it comes to how stuff works, Can I reverse this quickly for going to the dealer?

I think the restore kit is to clean and re-oil your filter.

I think the restore kit is to clean and re-oil your filter.
(iagree) - the filter is a reusable type you wash with soap and water (or whatever method the owners manual says to do) and then you must re-oil before installing as it uses the oil to aid in filtering...

Be carefull you dont over oil the filter when restoring it as it can foul your air mass sensor and trigger a dreaded CEL code...
