what the freak!~
There is lines of scratches on that wind guard thing below the bumper. It's one of those plastic pieces. I didnt realized when it was parked that it was in 1st gear and stalled and car jerked forward causing that plastic part to rub against the floor. Man im sad. How much does that part go for?.. it doesnt seem expensive and basically it looks like pins holding it. I will post pic soon.

geez.. I was expecting the worst! That thing is meant to get scraped up. It tells you you are way to damn close to the curb and to stop before you cause some real damage...

I was all ready to come in here and scream..

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

:D

It's only the plastic peice, let it get scratched up b/c that's what it's there for. =)
It's way better than scratching anything metal/painted. If you get a new one, it's only going to get scraped again.

That plastic peice is your friend. =)

LOL! Ive gone through 6 of them with the vette (actually dealer has gone through 5 of them boneheads tore it off every time I took it in) - I cant see the MS3 being more than the vettes and those run around 80 bucks... my guess would be 50-60 bucks (hoping the normal 3 uses them or availability may be a real mother)

And I know you like your plastic piece but nobody will notice... grab some black permanent ink and color the scratches in.... my guess is the only one that will notice is the drunken bumb who fell asleep in front of your car... you sure thats not what you hit?

I had a rock hit my windshield, huge crack, had to replace the damn thing! 2 days after, I get a chip directly in my line of sight just like yours, I can't stand it. At least it's small.

I got my first scratch down the primer a few weeks ago on my driver's side door. I have a small gravel driveway and the round gravel gets stuck in the treads of my snow tires. As I get moving, I can hear them hitting the car. For whatever reason (unlike when I was younger and had my VW 337) it didn't phase me. Maybe I'll fix it someday. I have a lot more importnat things to worry about.

Yeah got a crack in my windshield too. =\ It's about 8-10inches on the driver's side edge at eye sight level. Sucks, but I got it filled and stopped. Not even going to bother getting a new windsheild until winter's over.

Hell, my rear bumper cover CAME with some scratches on the underside which I did not notice until doing an oil change - who lies down and looks at the undercarriage of their car when picking it up from the dealer? I will in the future.

Luckily it's a plastic piece, no rust will come of it, and I can fill the scratches (3-4 inches) with touch-up paint in the warmer weather.

But, small scratches and the like are part of the reason I went w/ silver. Also my first car (1988 Audi 90s) was silver and I could never get over the death of it - at 267,000 miles.
