Is anybody interested in a tech/maintainence section of the 3/Speed3/Axela?
It would be a great place to talk about common problems, solutions, and troubleshooting. I recently had a shifter problem with my speed 3 and there was no where to post it. Hopefully our experiences fixing our cars will help others with similar problems.
thanks,
Sean

any tech stuff should just be posted right in this section. Stuff that's just like "yay I love my Mazda3" or a "what have you done to your Mazda3 today?" thread if you guys have one of those, that belongs in the "lounge and welcome area" subforum. Any how-tos, the how-to section, etc. Trust me, the last thing this forum needs is more subforums :P

interesting idea, mods are discussing it... i think kansei is right tho, already a ton of sub-forums, anything that falls through the cracks of those should probably be posted right here

i agree i think we have enough subforums to surf through... something like a shifter problem i would have slid into the engine/performance section as its one of those things that is hard to find a place for... if the members feel strongly about this maybe we can give it a trial run in the 3 section so keep your input coming guys just cause me and jbiird both feel another subforum isn't a good idea doesn't mean it can't happen and turn into another good section... so keep the debate goin

it turns out that my shift linkage was tangled? They disassembled and put it back together. Maybe things weren't tightened right from factory? I don't drive it hard and these cars shouldn't run into many problems, especially with 2,000 miles. I read up on the the gearbox and it's new so maybe there will be some issues luckily it was under warranty

Interesting. I'll ask the dealer about it when I go in for the CEL.
