looking at maybe getting an audi A4 quattro. 98 or 99.

my question is should i get the 1.8t or the 2.8 v6? the 1.8t is only like 150 HP while the v6 is 190... both are manual. ive always wanted a turbo but i dont know that its worth the trouble with so much less power...

Neither unless you like electrical issues. The 98 and 99 years were very prone to problems. I too looked into them awhile back.

But....if you plan to upgrade, the 1.8t has many more options.

Neither. Stay away. I've been there and you are asking for major problems.

They are correct, that body style Audi has electrical issues but the 1.8 has a large market for bolt on mods. The V6 can be boosted but the engine management is tricky. If I got an Audi I would get a newer one and a V6 to run boost and hit up Tuning Techtonics and C2Motorsports for most of the parts.

The 90 Supra is nice too. I have a lot of fun in a 90 Supra years ago. It loved the twisties. It had crazy electrical issues though.

from what kve learned about a4's there is a trade off that makes each one equally awesome...
put aside thqt the yellow on has a chip, stock for stock the 2001, while the same body style, has 20 more hp... but it is also drive by wire, like most of the mazda 3s... def a trade off. but i think ive mad eup my mind. being as the 99 is yellow... ,much better than white.... and it is cable throttle.... an the chip give it about 200 hp accroding to GIAC's website.

but yea i've decided. b5 generationg audi a4 1.8t quattro manual.

sellign the pro to someone tomorrow, taking a loan for the rest, and pickin up the car sat.

Is that Imola Yellow? That is a rare color.

After looking at the autotrader I wondered if the owner posted a FS thread on www.fourtitude.com (http://www.fourtitude.com) I did not see one but the owner sounds like a forum member by the way he describes the car.

This was on the front page of fourtitude.

sexy... so u think i should go for the yellow? he said it was very rare...

onl problem right now... damn bank wont loan on anything older than an 01... so i have to make sure i get a fair price from one of three people looking to buy my car, and i guess apply for a personal installment loan...

The yellow is nice but if you are going to have to get a personal loan and want an Audi I would check the FS Section on Fortitude. You never know, you may end up getting a pimped out 94 Corrado VR6T for 6K or something, they also have GLI's for a nice price too which are 1.8's but come with different trim and a different front valance.

www.vwvortex.com (http://www.vwvortex.com) and www.fortitude.com (http://www.fortitude.com) are the same sites.
