***WARNING, SPOILERS!!***
So who's watching WRC?
I'm cheering for Gronholm in his Focus, but it looks like Citroen might dominate this year. Again. What is with Citroen?? Is it Loeb or is it the car? The fact that Sordo did so well too in the first rally suggests to me that maybe it's the car. Which is pretty amazing considering it was the first real run for the new C4. I really hope Solberg and Subaru get their act together, though, and I'm pretty excited to see the new Impreza they have planned for Mexico.

I think its part car and part Loeb... but then who knows. Aren't these cars suppose to be regulated? some rallies look like Citroens are on a different level then the rest. oh well... maybe its just that they're simply good (bang)
I do hope that subarus can get their act together. Atkinson is improving and Solberg needs to shape up or get lucky <?> how many mechanical failures last season did he have? or was it crashed out?
anyway, go ford. Gronholm and Hirvonen (first)

Rally needs to be broadcasted regularly on American tv. I miss tv in Kuwait where it was 24/7 of soccer and rally. Came to the US and discovered softcore porn, so i didn't complain for a while.

WRC, or speed channel? Speed channel should be renamed NascarTV.

Yeah, I've got speed, but speed doesn't have WRC anymore, unless they got a deal done this year, which sucks.
Rallying really is such an exciting sport, though. So much better in my opinion than going in circles around an oval. And I think one great thing about rally is that you can see the cars in rally, on the street! And you can buy something close to most of them if you've got the cash.

Really,no WRC on Speed?Hmm...didn't know that.Anyway,I agree...I mean oh wow,I can make a left turn, guys, there is ssssoooo much skill w/ that, haha! No offense to anyone who likes that, but rally involves so much skill and concentration than going in circle a bunch of times.

SCREW The SPEED CHANNEL!!!! They need to officially rename it to The NASCAR Channel and be done with all this beating around the bush.
Get your WRC videos here:

I just came across the site so I haven't been able to actually view any of the videos. Files are BIG- about 250 MB each.
ENJOY!

Something tells me you wouldn't be saying that if you were the one driving 160mph with four other guys around you doing the same speed all within 7" of you. Never mind the other 30 drivers on track with you.
I'm not taking away from the skill of WRC drivers and to be perfectly honest I don't like NASCAR. The point I'm making is that each driver is skilled in their own way. Until you've actually raced in either series you have 0 room to talk.
Bench racing (yupnope)

Okay,w/e.Granted there is a skill involved when a driver passes another driver. But isn't that pretty much it?I mean,it's not like WRC where the driver is constantly examining every turn in his head, taking every direction the co-driver is saying, while driving at incredible speeds through mud, snow, ice, gravel, rain and even wildlife.Plus, whenever there is a problem w/ the car and it's fixable w/ retiring(forefeiting),it's the driver's job to do whatever it takes to fix the car as fast as possible to get to end of that stage.
Mehh,two different worlds I guess...hehe!
And yes,bench racing is (notcool)

lol, that reminds me of the time Loeb lost a whole wheel, and drove all the way to the next stage on 3 wheels, with co-driver hanging out the side window to reduce the weight to the corner that was dragging along on the bodywork.

I guess you missed the part where I said "I"m not taking away from the skill of WRC" either way we're both in agreement. I just think there's a lot more skill involved with NASCAR than people give them credit for.
I don't care what anyone says, driving something as unaerodynamically sound as a Fusion, montey carlo, or charger at speeds up to 180 takes skillZ y0.

Is it me or does the much talked-about Impreza WRC2007 look exactly the same as the previous one?

Regardless, it sure seems faster than the last one. Petter Solberg led the first 5 stages before his engine failed.
