Badges... we no need no stinkin badges..whos got them?

Ok so my MS3 didnt come with 2.3 badges on the front doors yet Ive seen some that have them... the only thing I can think of is that the GT models have them and the sports dont...

So unofficial poll: whats the deal with the badges? did my dealer forget to put them on? a GT only option?

Then again... we no need no stinkin badges....

Umm someone added later. All the GT MS3's i looked at and the one i bought, didn't have 2.3 badges

The 06 regular 3's had the 2.3 badges, the ms3 has no badges besides the ones on the back. Like you said, we dont need no stinkin badges (cuz we like the sleeper look, right!?)

i garuntee you that no dealer in his right mind would put a 2.3 badge on a ms3... first of all, it would cost him money to buy the badge, and lets face it, they would not spend money on somethign that they couldnt charge you double for. 2nd, it makes the speed3 look more like the regular 3, which if you are tryign to sell a car, making it not stand out is not the way to do it.

If you saw a 2.3 badge on a mazda, it was either a) not an ms3, or b) put on by the owner

I see some other Regular 3's with the 2.3 badge. Not sure what the "standard" is.

Edit: Seems random, maybe it actually is a dealer choice?

mine came on my 07 3 sport 5-door, i think they all have them as long as they have the 2.3 except the mazdaspeed

Actually Wes's thread is what prompted me to post this one (drinks) didnt want to hijack his.... gona go see if I can decipher the build number from the VIN and see if its a dealer thing or a "we started doing that to MS3's after a certain date" thing

wes got his 2 days before mine, same color and trim, he got hiis in la and has 2.3 badges, i got mine on orange county and i dotn have any 2.3 badges, mine came off the truck monday and i got it wedsnday. hm funny.

Well that definetly settles it... its either a dealer whimsical install or Mazda really screwed up the quality control on the factory line..I have sport from the same region in the country and no 2.3 on mine

I have the 2007 3 Touring (not speedy), and it came with the badges on the doors. A quick email to my dealer and they were gone before I took delivery.

I have an 06' and just like the title of this thread- we no need no stinkin' badges! And in my case no door moldings either!

Picked up my MS3 GT yesterday and no badges. The dealer just got two red MS3 sport models too, also no badges.

And.... They all have stubby antennas.
