Mazda 3 diffences in front strut then 5

I am helping out a fellow mazda guy in working on his mazda 3 but The things he wants to do to his car we cant find an actual bolt in part for it. So that leads me to finding out the company makes the parts for a mazda 5 how much diffrence in suspension is the 5 to the 3 can I swap the struts from one to the other? I know my name says nismo but I am a mazda guy at heart. Please help me on this I am stumped without seeing both in front of me at once I have no clues

what does he want to do...?? i am surprised he can't find what he wants for the 3 that the after market for the 5 has... doesn't make sense... let us know what he wants and we may be able to offer you some ideas...

he wants to add air ride to it he doesnt wanna make it a race car but basically a nice looking car . but my supplier only sells strut kits for the 5 and not the 3 i just need to find out if the fronts will swap out. I know on the escort gt the protege struts swapped but i never tried looking into the 5 to the 3 swap. I dont have 2 of them in front of me. so i figured i would turn to you guys. I know mazda people at least back in the day were the kings of finding swaps out...I just wanna know i know struts are usually the same but i need to know if the lower mounts are the same i guess cause i may need to modify the uppers to sit the car even lower then the std couple inch drop and all the online parts sites dont carry the 5 or the 3 struts so i cant compare part numbers

is the air ride set-up for the "Protege5" or the "Mazda5" - if its the "Protege5" nothing will cross fit.

I just looked it back up and its a protege 5 this sucks now i will have to custom make everything
