I just installed a header and catless midpipe on my car today and when you get into the higher rpms it starts making a raspy noise. Anybody have any ideas of why it is doing that? Also the egr nut will not go back on...the pipe is lined up, but the nut will not thread on to it. Any ideas on this problem.
I put on a OBX header i picked up second hand...and a new MAM catless midpipe, if that matters. still have the racing beat catback.

Well you did drastically change the characteristics of you exhaust with what you did so it will change the sound/tone.

if the nut isn't threading on, that can explain the raspiness.. but in general, a header and catless midpipe will have a raspy tone to it.

Mine doesnt have a raspy sounds to it. When I installed my header I had issues getting the egr to thread b/c it loods like port was welded crooked on the header. Once I finally got it threaded it had a small leak for about a week until carbon built up and plugged it.

Could you post a sound clip of it?

You might have an exhaust leak. Check the egr nut, header (both by the engine and the "doughnut gasget," and possibly where the new midpipe connects to your stock exhaust.
