South Florida is a pretty nice place to have a hooked up car, seeing there are no emissions tests and no elevation changes to effect the cars performance. There are quite a few companies that have taken this into account. I am currently about to allow one such company to develop a turbo back exhaust for my Mazdaspeed6. They are the only place local that has an Awd dyno and over 15 years mazda experience and track proven slips. Does anyone know any things i should be aware of that would cause cels or any other negative effects. We are going to pull a baseline test and then a second run after installation.

How did this come out? I want Exhaust but don't want to spend an arm and leg for it butI guessing it has to be 3 inch and the magnaflow is only 2.25. Anyone have the magana flow?
How does the Magna flow fair against a custom 3 inch?

just make sure that you get o2 bungs put on the exhaust for your existing o2 sensors. no cel's should come up, BUT im not completely sure where the o2 sensors are on this car. only really focused on cat back portion. if you have an o2 sensor on or after the cat a cel WILL pop up due to the exhaust readings it will get from the free flowing exhaust. it'll make it think your cat is deteriorated and overflowing what it should be. a simple o2 simulator will get rid of the problem. just goes in line to the o2 sensor wiring and tricks it to believe its running perfectly.
on another note, i just got a cat back custom made, 2.5" no mufflers and it sounds absolutely bad ass. lets people know your coming but is perfect inside the car. no drone on the highway and such or anything. these cars have a nasty growl to em.

Cool Thanx for the Info! So If I went with the Magnaflow 2.25 and decided to go with a 3inch DP later i would be ok? Or better just going 3 inch?

well if you have a big downpipe and it corks down to a small cat back...no point in the bigger downpipe in theory. it'd be like a coke bottle all corked up. if anything you'd wanna go with a 2.25" dp and a 3" cat back. makes more sense when you think about it.

If you are going to go with the duel outlet (stock set up) I would go with 3" from the DP to the Y and then you could use 2.5" after the Y.

yeah that would be plausible. but not the 3" to 2.25" with a transfer right at the cat...

Found a place to do custom Catback Exhaust 3 Inch still using dual mufflers for $450

Is that using the stock mufflers? Once you add mufflers it would be close to cp-e's price, but duel outlet. What type of pipe is the shop going to use?

No that price is including the Dual magnaflow mufflers they are putting on and untilizing those factory tips in the rear skirt.
They are using Muffler Piping? Not sure on that all I know is that they do alot of SRT4, 4 inch Supra, Evo Exhaust here in the Atl. Very good shop.

Sound good with no Mufflers? I didn't want it to be to loud that is why I decided to have mufflers.

yeah sounds hot as hell with no mufflers, ill get a sound clip this afternoon when i get back home. and as long as they use aluminized exhaust piping your set, if its plain steel plan on it rusting out. and imo i would see if they have any type of warranties on their piping. the place i got mine done at has a lifetime, just a good incentive to when you buy it ya know.
