i love the wingless look, but the wing does add some hawtness to the car....but w/o a wing the car is damn good looking. the msp wing is one of my favorites that i don't mind cars having

Yeah to me that tells me MSP. Without it from a distance, obviously it looks like a regular protege. I know the difference under the hood but that how it catches my eye out on the road. There aren't that many in my area so when I see one I know it. There are however a ton of third gen pros in the area. But whatever, if you like it then do it. I love it on my car.

rims yes, ride height no, I put Falken Factory Tuned springs on, perfect ride height for my tastes, plus I can't really go lower due to my cutout is angled down and only has about 3" of clearance.

haha! i gotta save up for the getting the holes filled in and the trunk painted.

i wish i could get my car to sit how i want it first. the rear tires are tucked and the fronts have about a 1/2" gap...that bugs the shit out of me.

how do you fill the holes?

how much can i expect to spend on having a shop do it all?

i'm not too sure about the shop. but filling holes is totally easy-basically, you put tape on the reverse side, in my case i cut a small piece of cardboard for each side, and taped it on the underside of the trunk(where the holes are, covering them.) then i used body filler and filled the holes. let it dry and paint.touch up paint if you do it good enough. if not, have a body shop paint it. couldn't be too much

but i figure. if a body shop does it. labor, plus matching paint....lotsa cash.

Whats holding the wing in place? Does welding need to take place after the wing is removed?

stdntDrvr

some people get the holes welded up...

it's just bolted on...they do have some double-sided tape as well.

you could do it that way. but, i dunno how to weld. and it came out fine for me.!!!!

Velocifero
01-25-2007, 10:13 AM
03.5 is 4 bolts 2 clips plus heavy duty double sided tape. Mine is welded, filled and then resprayed but i have friends in the right places so it was very cheap. Chris he would do yours for probably $50, including the paint, I have to ask him first to make sure, he likes hooking the GACC up, since he is one.

I actually sold my wing for more than I ended up finding a trunk for. The paint is almost a perfect match but for half the price other ayrds wanted, I'm ok with it. The car will someday get resprayed anyways.

Too bad only a few MSPs can take advantage of using salvage trunks.
