Are the MP3 seats kind of a light blue colour? Just from looking at pictures of them, I can't really tell if they are a bluey colour or are grey. Any MP3 guys help a brotha out?

They're actually really dark grey. Almost black. The leather inserts along the bolster supports are silver, and the middle inserts are a course black woven material mixed with a few various colors. Sometimes cameras add a strange tint.

Also, the MP3 seats don't use the "fake suede" that the MSP and Protege5 seats use. I think the pattern in the middle of the MP3 seats is the best out of all the protege seats. I'd love to do a conversion someday to have MP3 door panels and seat covers...

I would love to pick up a set of those. Anyone selling theirs?

How do you guys think those seats would look in a 1999 Protege with that light grey interior?

Personally I think they'd look a little out of place. If you did the rear seat as well, maybe wouldn't be too bad, but with only the front buckets, it wouldn't go.

I was in the same boat you're in. I had a 00 ES and ended up selling it to buy an MP3. There are so many upgrades for so little money, it wasn't worth the time/money trying to change everything.

Oh if I was only able to go back in time and not be so cheap when I first bought my Protege. Would have definately picked up an ES/MP3/MSP.

If I did do this however, I would definatly do both front seats and the rear as well. Just unsure of how it would look with the grey interior colour that my car has.

It's not too late. I just sold my car a couple months ago and used that money to buy the MP3. I paid about 2k more for the MP3 than what I got for my car. You have a 99 lx, so you might look at some higher mile MP3's. That's what I was originally going for, but this one I picked up from AZ was a good enough deal for me to afford. It's definately worth the travel. I'm SOOOO much happier I went this route instead of trying to make my ES into a MP3/MSP.
