Hey people-
Selling my Vibrant 3" s-pipe back system (due to 1 ticket and bitchy neighbors). I purchased it new from Crossover Auto 10/2006 for $800. Its in excellent condition. Has about 1k miles on it. Comes w/ the gaskets and some new nuts and bolts. I'm asking $550 for the system, but shipping will be tough. The box complete weighs 55lbs and is 71x20x12. Shipping via UPS will be close to $110. If it is less, I will refund the difference as I have done w/ other members here and on ebay. If it is more, I lose. I have gotten ups quotes roundabout $130 (at the worst) for ground shipment. I prefer to ship UPS as the tracking numbers are realtime. You know when its coming, and I know when it got there. NO Canada on this one. I accept paypal only and will eat the fees. Here is your opportunity to get a killer system for your Protege for less. I generally ship same day payment is received and tracking numbers will be sent to you and posted here asap.Post or pm w/ any and all questions. Thanks!

Willing to trade for an MPI and cash?
Fudgie
01-21-2007, 05:07 PM
Hey man-
Don't think I'm interested in an MPI right now as I don't really have the cash to buy extra injectors to get me where I need to be. Lets see what develops here and I'll continue to mull this over. I would, however, be interested in working a trade for a complete HiBoost FMIC if anybody cares......

Just an fyi, I shipped my vibrant to another member this past month and I thought that it was going to be REAL expensive to ship...but I went onto ups.com and saw that it should only cost around $50, so I went to the ups store and at first the guy told me $110 to ship, and I said ain't happenin I'll go somewhere else and then he said that he would take an inch off the size and it came out to only costing like $46. So make sure they dont screw you over b/c it looks like my vibrant box was even bigger than yours!

I realized that when I checked on the UPS site. The ballpark quote was right around $55, but it would not allow me to enter the package dimensions, so I called the UPS store to confirm. Glad I did. Worst case scenario from NY was $130 according to the girl. I would prefer UPS, but I'm open to other thoughts/ideas. If someone is interested, I'll do what it takes to ship this the most economical way possible.

you could install an s-pipe with this couldn't you? Or is it just fine the way it is? sound and all

I think you can install a corksport s-pipe w/ this system. Looks and sounds great the way it is. Hopefully somebody will chime in who might know for sure. Thanks

I had the corksport spipe mated with mine, but I really didnt notice a difference. I am sure there might have been a difference on the dyno, but it was less than 5 hp if that because you couldn't feel anything. Personally I don't trust Corksports quality. They are a great company but the things they make don't have the greatest welds. Even with the vibrant flex pipe, and filled motor mounts I sheered the spipe in half only after about six months of driving, so I went back to stock and am gonna have my stock one extrude honed, thats the way to go and it would cost the same as the s-pipe from corksport but no welds to worry about. The exhaust is great though, seriously I can't say enough good things about it. Back to the quality, there were a lot of s-pipe sheers and I have two friends that had thier CS exhaust fall apart at welds as well, one guy twice.

Ya Nick- Going to hang onto the speed. Just need it to be quiet to satisfy the police in my neighborhood. I think my neighbor was complaining. I leave at 5:30 a.m. and park between 2 brick houses. Oh well. Nice Evo. I just got done doing some mods to one for a customer of mine. Turboback, licp, clutch, Jester E-flash, Walbro pump, profec boost controller (23psi) pulls in 6th gear harder than the Speed at 12 psi in 3rd gear. Have fun w/ that!

I'd say w/out the silencer in, its pretty loud. I always ran it with the silencer in. Sounds real nice. Post up your zip code and I'll look into other shipping options. Thanks

im not looking to spend more than 500.00 w/shipping, but i am plausable to that but just a tad bit. can you double check with greyhound though. cuz i know they can ship it for you and i know it should be wayyyy cheaper than 96.35 from fedex, and ill think about it when i get my tax return shouldn't be more than 1 week and 1/2.

Greyhound "Package Express" is a little over $80 and they will not insure items over $300. . I'd rather do the FedEx way so we have full insurance and tracking numbers. What car do you have? A Pro 5? Not sure if this will fit that car or not?

It will fit on the P5 if you are turboed (MSP set up) and you have to cut and redo the axle back section, basically you have to take 5" out of it, only one guy here has done it and I had a hand in it. Rogue is the guy.

Yes, it was on my 2003.5 msp sedan.
