Although they might be using another name for it. It will still be based on the Toyota ist sold in Japan. The ist/xA will be all new and might even be offered in the US with a new, more powerful 1.8 Liter engine.

I was told by a Toyota employee all Scions will soon use the 2.4 in the Camry and in the tC.

Bleah. But then, I'm not a big fan of the xA, either.

blech.. unless they can get the ridiculous gas mileage that they get out of that 1.5/6 (whichever it is) it's worthless.. I wouldn't want it even if it didn't make the car more expensive. scions (other than the TC) are about being really cheap and economical.. a 2.4 doesn't sound like it would work well with that.

the 2.4 in a light car like that would be an awsome seller. torque + light weight= great mpg

Take it or leave it but the Scions sell like hot cakes and the resale is through the roof.

Is it a mini-minivan, a wagon, or a hatchback? Brain aneurism.

I'd rather own a Smart Car.

I think it looks better than the previous xA. A little more aggressive and less "econo boxish", but nothing that would really interest me.

I like the previous scion much more.
