Last night I went out to my car to get my Ipod. When I unlocked the car (via remote thing) the alarm beeped 4 times. This was my first clue something was wrong. I never set the alarm, just lock the doors because of the turbo timer. So I walk around the car to make sure somebody didnt hit me, car looks fine. I get inside and notice my Greddy FATT display is glowing red and the radio has reset all of its settings. I started the car, just to make sure it would turn on, and it turned on fine but the turbo timer didnt work when I turned the car back off. Soooooo fast forward today. I figured I would go look at the car in daylight to try and see whats going on. The alarm has once again gone off without me arming it but this time the radio didnt reset. The turbo timer is still glowing red as well. Any ideas?

sit in the car next time you shut it off and open the door, close the door, lock with remote and witness what is going on.
i would like to say the battery (which should be replaced anyway if you are still on the stocker) but if the car runs ok, then that makes no sense.

also you can try locking the car and not arming the alarm and see if it happens again, as the other main suspect is the always problematic alarm module.

Yea I replaced the battery a while back with a Optima Red Top so it should be fine. I tried the door thing and it doesnt seem like anything out of the ordinary is happening. I just dont have a clue what could have fried the turbo timer. Thats the part that gets me.

you can still arm your alarm AND have a turbo timer. you just need to cut two wires.

Yea but I dont really like cutting things up to much :) Plus there isnt really that problem any more seeing as something fried the turbo timer while the car wasnt on.

Wierd, perhaps the TT is hooked incorectly and is giving you electrical problems.

But it had been working fine before, right? You didn't have anyone give your car a jump, did you?

Don't rule out electrical problems just because "It Worked Before"

If that were true, there would never be any electrical problems in cars, unfortunate that it's a moving object and things get loose.

ELECTRICAL FTW

Nope, havent jumped the car. I guess its possible that the timer just died....Its only been on the car for about a year though. Maybe it got into a fight with the subwoofer :)

Disconnect it to test the theory that it's FUBAR
