Earlier today I pulled out the compartment below the cd-player and installed a gauge panel. I'm trying to figure out what types of gauges I should get that are important. I already have a defi boost gauge and aem wideband afr gauge on my pillar. So, my question is what other guages should I get that are important...?
What really sucks is that defi stopped selling the d-gauge series (I think) and I would rather keep the orange light theme instead of changing to say blue or something, but I guess I don't have a choice unless I find some used ones.

Ahh, I would say no to this :)
Great, great gauges; Autometer definitely took a step in the right direction with the Nexus series.....
But I just sold my Nexus setup. Why? Because I got tired of spending $200+ on gauges. Now I wouldn't have a problem spending that much on gauges, if I actually got every pennies worth out of them. All the functions, bells and whistles, I never used. It was cool to show off at local meets, but other than that, it was pretty useless. Another problem with the nexus series, is that you have to spend $150 for the software. So all of the features of the control module (datalogging boost, oil temp, etc etc) are useless without the software. They do give you a 30day trail, yay.
Don't get me wrong, they are great gauges. They look good and the peak/warning feature is awesome. But after spending $800 on gauges, I can honestly tell you that the money can be put to better use elsewhere :)

yea I remember seeing those pics you posted of your nexus gauges in your
mp3, they looked tight as hell...but I truly can't afford them. Thanks for the info yash. I'm still keeping my eyes open for defi d-gauges and if I can't find those I'll probably go with prosport or some sort of autometer.

I have oil pressure, oil temp, egt, and boost (all electric gauges) from them. They've been awesome so far, no complaints!

they use a stepper motor like the defi gauges, but one difference I see is that the defi gauges seem to be twitchy.. in a good way. they move really quickly. I'm not sure if the prosport gauges can do that, I know during the "opening ceremony" they sweep slowly across the whole range.

I don't have the hoods on them anymore.. yeah I had the hoods tilted just a little on each gauge so that they were still viewable from the drivers seat.. I'm considering putting them back on though. Plus I don't have the oil temp gauge in anymore, put the oil pressure in instead

The prosport guages are similar in style and appearance to my defi boost gauge. Looks like I will be purchasing from them soon(cool)
