Ive just installed Prosport electric boost gauge and for some reason when the car ignition is on but not running the needle sits at 2 pounds!!
Also under boost it goes all the way to 18 pounds..Everything is hooked good??
Any ideas? Ive thought that the most you get 15-16

weird. You tapped off the same boost source that everyone else with the MS6 uses?
I know that if you just call/e-mail prosport they'll replace your gauge, but just wanted to cover the bases first.
I loove all of my prosport gauges :)

Yeah..I teed off in to BOV hose....
Also I don't know if its just me but it seems like I got less power after installing that tee in to BVO hose.. I know the suppled tee that comes with the gauge the .in diameter is so much smaller. So I don't know if that would have any affect?

oh yeah the Tee they provide I believe has a restrictor fitting that is suppose to go to the boost sensor.. if you installed that with the restrictor going to the BOV line that might cause a problem. I didn't actually use the tee or the boost line that was supplied with the gauge, I forgot I even had them until just now.

look at this link the fourth pic down. tap into the hose on the manifold i have no problems with my prosport boost gauge and yeah if it dont work after that get ahold of prosport and they will replace it.

post a picture. I have a feeling you tapped the wrong line.

you mean it goes down to 18 in/hg below zero, or it shoots up to 18 psi above zero? below zero is vacuum (normal when not in boost).

Dont wory..I hook every thing like its suppose to be..Tee in the BOV hose..
restrictor fitting side to gauge hose........but boost spakes at 18 psi..
I know how to read gauge!...............But just wonder if tee beeing smaller inside diameter, it would restrict vacum flow of BOV, if that would cause any perfomance isuses???

After it spikes to 18 does it stay at 18 or does it taper off to 15-16. I see spikes from 17-18 for a second then it drops to 15. The spikes usually occur in third and forth gear. One thing I would do is to try and find a tee that actually fits better.
