I saw a lot of oily substance leaking in the driveway today. So I brake cleaned the bottom side of the motor to find out what and where it was comming from.
Looks like its comming from the bolts or between the seals?
How do I fix this? AAMCO? Seems like too big a project for me to fix.

Looks like it's gather at the bottom and dripping. Mine looked exactly like that when the axle seal was leaking.

i think it turned out to be the axle seal. Any Idea how much one would cost at the dealership? Also if anyone can tell me the part # for it. Thanks
Is it true if the person who had the car before me used ATF instead that it can cause it to leak?
Car has 57k on it now if that matters.

I'm not sure how much the seals are in the US, but they are like $10 here.

what about if you tried to tighten the bolts a little more to see if that stops the leak, thats what my mechanic did to my oil pan gasket and it stopped. If it doesn't than you'll have no choice but to replace the gasket.

There's no gasket on the tranny, it's just sealant. If it's never been taken apart there is no reason to tighten those bolts, plus you could risk over tightening them and striping the threads (it is only aluminium).
