Reset CEL

Hey everyone,

We had the whole CEL gas cap issue. Got the new cap and everything was fine. The other day my wife said the light came back on and she checked the cap and it was loose. Not sure if she just forgot to tighten it enough or what, but does anyone know how to reset the CEL light. I really don't feel like taking it to the dealer and I know if the gas cap wasn't on all the way then it just set off the emiision system.

I had that problem once in an Altima. The light reset itself a day or so after I placed the cap correctly.

It has actually been two days and still not turning off. Anyone know how to reset

disconnect your battery and wait 1 min and then connect it again.
it will reset the cel and only problem is you have to reprogram your windowl..
