When to wax?

Just want to ask all of your opinion. How soon did you (or had someone else) wax your CX7 from the time you bought it? Coz i've heard some people saying not to wax the car for at least 3mos since the paint is new & has not "settled" in yet (?)

the car's already waxed by the dealer before they handed over the keys to you
besides, the car took a good 2 months to get to the dealer from japan anyway

there's nothing to worry about

I use a spray-on protectant quite often (with NO silicone)... figure I'll do a full wax twice a year.

So it really depends on the person.. You can wax as often as once a month to 2x/year...

I'd probably wax more if I wasn't using the protectant stuff. It's kinda like a mini-wax :)

I waxed/polished it one-month after I purchased it. The only time you need to worry about waxing is if you get in an accident and there are repainted sections of your car - in those cases the body shop usually gives you instructions on how long to wait before waxing.
