just got msp tonight..
while swapping on 15'' snow tires and rims, i noticed that the 17'' potenza are fooked..
of course the dealer wasn't aware of this....
what can make potenzas to wear out from the inside.. on ALL FOUR equally??
im thinking maybe misalignement but on on four at the same time?? the car goes straight and while on a lift i grabbed each wheel and checked if there was any loose and it doesnt
the car has 59000 km on it
any idea?? the wear is strange.. on the inside and in the center..
other than that itS A+

car was likely lowered and the camber was not adjusted properly to compensate for the drop.

This is what I was thinking, so the big question...is your car lowered? No re-alignment after lowering will cause abnormal wear on the insides of tires.
If its just showing more wear on the inside edge of the tire and its not an abnormal shape the previous owner may have added a little more negative camber in the alignment. If those are the original tires it can't be too bad with 40k miles.

Actually wouldn't they be on their last leg (or last toe) at that mileage, if they were original? I have just over 40k miles on my car and they need replacing, this is also with them being swapped out for my winter tires every winter so they actually have a bit less on them.
Yeah, I meant the alignment can't be too aggressive if they are the original tires. That is a lot of miles for the Potenzas.

well i got the alignment checked and it was misaligned on one front and one rear wheel...
so the new set of tires will be ok..
i had a gut feeling i should have it checked and it came up right afterall..
the salesman ( i hate them) told me it was already checked and was ok.. so they had to pay for the alignement.. (it's a honda dealer that i bought the car from)
i intend to use my 1 month/1700 km FULL warranty on their backs to the end.. and i will..
already put an alignment, a NEW EGR valve ( 207$+ inst.) and i got a rear caliper that screwed ( 400$ for OEM) which will be installed next week.
there starting to hate me but can't say shit as me and my GF are starting to look at a new car for camping and towing the sled and bike.. and we looked at the element( we need AWD and space..maybe i can turbo it or something lol) alot so.. i they fook with me i'll take this to antoehr dealer and be sure i'll go see the owner of the dealer ship and tell him in his face...
like it's not enough i had to fight in order to get snow tires with 15'' wheels and they "didn't know" the potenzas were screwed like that... like fucking duh..
err sorry about the rant... (pissed)
