That's too low. My gauge reads 21 at idle.

How's it run, when I was at 10 vac it ran pretty bad. I normally have between 21-23 vac.

i hooked up the gauge between the wastegate and the intake manifold. as of yet i haven't zip tied the hoses, i just pushed them in. i just got the motor in and started it up on saturday. do you know of any common places where leaks are found. thanks

Between the wastegate and the intake mani? I don't get that, I have mine T'ed into the back of the intake mani reads vac/boost as close to the engine as possible.

there is one vacuum hose that runs to from the intake manifold to the wastegate actuator and there is a "T" for the bypass valve. 3 inches away from the intake manifold side of the hose i "T" the boost gauge. my car idles fine though, and when i rev it the rpms fly up. i think my only solution is to just pressurize the system. also where did you "T" into in the back of the manifold?

I cut this hose at the rear and used a vacuum tee to connect it.

so it makes a difference where you hook up the boost gauge, wow, didn't know that. i hooked it up like kid had it before me, he had it hooked up by the bypass valve actually. do you think that since i didn't zip tie, i am having minor leaks at the connections? thanks

At the back of the manifold pointing up there is a nipple that poins up. It has a hose with some sort of foam wrap, I t'ed it there.

You want your splice to be closet to the manifold inorder to obtain the most accurate pressure change. Depending on the hose that you spliced into originally and what you used, there very well could be a leak. So I'd put on some zip ties when you fix it to ensure no leaks. I also removed the spring clips from the hose that I cut and replaced those with the blue zip ties. You should also replace the hose you spliced into on the wastegate.
Since I used the supplied line for my gauge, I also used an adapter. It along with vac-tee's can be found in any parts store that carries the HELP brand.
Good luck and let us know what kind of readings you get.
