Just recently signed up for the forums, and someone requested i post a couple pics of my roadster in this section...

So, without further ado:

http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k189/R2s99zoom/green99/MVC-002S.jpg

what I've done to her so far:

-racingbeat street springs
-kyb agx adjustable shocks
-front and rear shock tower bars
-racingbeat type2 style bar
-racingbeat intake
-el-cheapo fleabay special catback (looks and sounds just like a RB powerpulse exhaust)
-powerslot brake rotors w/braided steel lines (w/some hawk HPS pads... a bit noisy but, boy, do they grip!)

oh, and i recently picked up a hardtop... amazing amount of stiffening added w/that!

future plans:

-bigger radiator (summers get really warm where I'm at, and FI is one of my pipe dreams...) right now i'm thinking the koyo 57mm or the FM one w/the oil cooler built in.
-oil cooler - haven't settled on one yet...
-keeping my eyes peeled for a 6-speed tranny... currently has the manual 5-speed, but it needs to be replaced/rebuilt soon (3rd gear synchros are getting to be rough, and 2nd gear is slowly starting to be less smooth to engage...)
-looking to pick up a limited slip diff... the cheapo ones on ebay scare me a little, but are starting to get close to cheap enough to give it a try just to see if they're worth a dang... or maybe i'll just luck out and find a wrecked 10AE thats being parted out...
-and on the very far off horizon... i'm trying to decide between the series 3 bell engineering turbo kit, the flyin' miata voodoo2 kit, or the new FM II hydra kit...

oh, and this is my 2nd mx-5... heres what happened to my first when I was sitting at a red light and someone decided they didn't need to stop (hit and run... grrrr...):

any thoughts/comments/suggestions/emotional outburtsts welcomed...

Hi Rick! Welcome to the forum. Very nice NB you have there! That sucks about the first one. It doesn't look like all that much damage at first glance. I'm glad you were able to get another. (first)

yeah, the pictures don't really show the story on the wrecked one... I was sitting at a red light, and someone in a white *something* plowed through me at ~60mph. Somehow they managed to not even stop... happened so fast I didn't even have time to catch their plates...

but the car was actually twisted... was very painful just to look at...

What kind of wheels are they?

Any shots from the side?

actually not sure of the manufacturer of the wheels... they're not the 949 racing ones, tho... only 5 sets of spokes, not 6... the wheels were on my black one when i bought it... no name brands are stamped on them, the platic caps have "RS limited", but who knows if they have anything to do w/the wheels.

heres a slightly more sideways shot:

mines looking a little rougher after tonight... hit a slippery patch and lost it into a pile of rocks =/

blew a tire, and scuffed up a couple of my wheels, and my front bumper has some serious gouges in it...

Ah! They all look the same.

Sorry to hear about the accident. I recently had something similar happen and I've been without the MSM for a little over a month now (seems forever).

Ouch, that sucks dude (about both of them). Welcome to the club... I did more or less the same thing a little less than a year ago to the P5. Hydroplaned and hit a curb. Hard. No fun.

sorry about the accident.

The guy that bought my 92 stopped by my house today. He got rear ended on the way here :(
