I really wonder, those RX-8 5 spokers look really nice, and might look rather decent on a CX-7. Any thoughts? Would they fit at all?

Yes they will.
Same size, bolt pattern, and offset.

Kind of funny....my cousin's uncle owns a tranporting company...and I went yesterday. They had a used rx-8 repo'ed....very nice....with all the options body kit navigation and the 18's. Well I said if I can take the rims off and put them on the cx-7 and he said yes. But when I looked in detail 2 of the rims and deep scratches on them..so I said no. ......
But I did get a new air compressor from the RX-8 :)

I was just thinking about this the other day. Maybe even use bigger sidewall tires to fill up the wheelgap a little(not offroad style)

Well you could use the stock 18" tires. Just RX-8 rims. Not RX-8 rims and tires, that would look weird.

That and the "sporty" JDM kit.

RX-8 wheels have the same stud pattern, offset with CX-7 wheels EXCEPT RX-8 have lower load rating due to lighter weight of the car
You can fit them into your CX-7 but driving over a big pot-hole the wheels may break
I did try and Mazda dealer told me not too as they MAY void warranty ...
they will try to void your warranty for anything. dont listen to them because they legally can not void your entire warranty because you put rx-8 rims on a cx-7. thats a crock of shit.
