first few dyno pulls done today proved 275whp 212wtq on pump gas with no water injection used. Would've pulled more up top (16psi) but we ran out of fuel pump with the 660cc injectors.

For those that don't know this is the same 1.8L 2ZZJE engine used in the Celica GT-S w/ 180bhp.

I'll post some pics and the official dyno's as I get them scanned in.

When the new 255lph pump gets here we'll push the limits of the stock 11:1CR block with the gt28rs. I'm guessing 350-ish and she'll go pop.

you cant see much from the pics because the turbo is on the backside of the engine but I'll link what I've got.

Sounds nice, i'm running the same turbo. Are you purposely trying to get it to pop though?

I think after much deliberation we'll be swapping out the rods shortly. 11:1cr is just nuts without forged internals.

I can't imagine how much they stretch at 8500rpms under 13psi.

Good idea, you made a lot of top end power time to build up that torque though. My sister has a Corolla but not the XRS. Good luck with the build hope to see pics too!!

toyota = no torque

Those 2ZZ engines are not designed for torque...even a big turbo (well big for us 4cyl) doesn't make much more than 200wtq. That's what happens when you build a car for peaky high rpm power and not useable, daily driveable power....like say a fs-de.

toyota cams ftl (unless your moto is torque low - shift high)

Sweet Car the 2zzge is a pretty cool engine. Good power for n/a very honda like. (that's a complement ;))

That's why you hit V-TEC Yo! (jk). Still the XRS looks like fun car, the suspention is from the Celica GTS, no?

impressive numbers! I have never seen a boosted newer corolla around so plus one for being unique.
